Once I had finished Optimus I decided that it would be better if I stuck with subject areas which interested me as much as possible so I would remain interested and have a result that is current and people would recognise. That's one of the main reasons I chose Ironman as my next piece of work.
The drawing's dimensions are approximately 8 inches by 8 inches. Again it was made using purely HB pencils along with a single eraser. I was still at a point where I wouldn't have appreciated a full range of pencils.
Having completed this drawing I felt that it helped me progress in a number of areas, one of the most important I think being the area of shading as thats what gives proper depth. Something that was one of the big end goals.
